KUTU
KUTU est né de la rencontre à Addis Abeba du violoniste Théo Ceccaldi, avec les voix fusionnelles des deux chanteuses éthiopiennes Hewan G/Wold & Haleluya T/Tsadik. Un voyage au coeur des nuits fiévreuses d’Addis underground 2020, où la jeunesse hyperactive s’empare des musiques ancestrales pour mieux s’en affranchir. À partir de poèmes d’aujourd’hui, de collectage de rythmiques tribales, Théo Ceccaldi imagine un set tellurique où se croisent improvisation, et envolées vocales, soutenu par une rythmique puissante et un line up à la vitalité contagieuse : claviers électro-cosmiques, basses hypnotiques, danses exaltées et voix stellaires…
Theo Ceccaldi nous invite dans un univers cosmique entre influences traditionnelles azmaris, furieuse transe electro-mystique, slam tonitruant et énergie punk. Une expérience physique et psychique, à la fois inédite et hypnotique, où la liberté du jazz se mêle à la profondeur brute des sons azmaris.
