The Wash

Singer-Keyboardist David Quattrini (Massachusetts, USA) and guitarist Jérôme Plasseraud (Versailles, France) meet up in 2017. Between their studios in Montreuil and Saint-Germain-des-Près, they bring their own musical stories to the table and finish by stirring up a new sound. The Wash touches lightly on the universes of MGMT, Phoenix, The War On Drugs, M83 or Beach House, but moves quickly past with no looking back.

A heavy dose of analog synth, peppered with fuzz guitar, sonics, explosive drums, with ambience, space echo and reverb : "Just enough pleasure to remember", the title of their debut album, seems to humbly describe this balance. The Wash serves up an alchemy of sounds, neither completely pop, nor folk, electro or psych, but an innate collision of genres, polished up by the prestigious British producer Dave Bascombe (Depeche Mode, "Music for the Masses").
