Enzo Carniel

Enzo Carniel is a jazz pianist from the Var region of France born in 1987. He began studying classical piano and discovered jazz during his adolescence. After 5 years of Medicine at the Faculty of Marseille, he decided to devote himself entirely to this music, he is medalist in 2009 at the CNR of Marseille. He has since joined the Conservatoire National Supérieur de Musique Paris in the class of Jazz and Improvised Music, and in parallel, he is orienting himself in trio and solo; and is also passionate about contemporary music, composition and arrangement. In 2010, in front of a conquered public, he won the soloist prize of the Tremplin Jazz à Porquerolles.
He recently formed a new quartet called "House of Echo".
Influenced by Paul Bley, Monk and Jarrett, he tries to explore the sound palettes and the intrinsic possibilities of the piano.
He has performed in various festivals such as the Tangier Festival in Morocco, the Eclat d'Email Festival in Limoges, the Jazz Festival in Porquerolles, the Avignon Festival, the Lyric Art Festival in Aix en Provence...
He has also participated in Radio France programs such as "Matin des musiciens" by Arnaud Merlin, "A l'improviste" by Anne Montaron on France Musique, "Le Rendez vous" on France Culture.
In 2013, Enzo Carniel received the first prize of the CNSM of Paris.
He continues his career by performing in French jazz festivals and in Parisian clubs such as the Sunset-sunside, the Duc des Lombards.
He has performed with André Ceccarelli, Nicolas Folmer, Raphael Imbert, Riccardo Del Fra, and other musicians of the European scene.
