Mangabey
Poussé par une passion grandissante dès son plus jeune âge pour les synthétiseurs et autres « drums machines », José Fehner lance rapidement le projet Mangabey afin d’unir ses deux principales influences : le jazz et la musique afro-américaine.
Il crée ainsi son propre style, une house analogique mêlant groove, mélodies, accords et improvisations propres au jazz, avec les codes d’une Chicago House plus moderne.
Le résultat se traduit par un univers bien à lui et des compositions très riches, que l’on retrouve notamment sur ses EP signés sur Toy Tonics, Apparel Wax ou encore Boussole Records. Il marque son retour en 2020 avec la sortie du titre « Lunar Light » sur Cracki Records et l’arrivée imminente d’un nouvel EP sur ce même label.
